Mishawaka public school changes to be discussed
The superintendent of Mishawaka Schools is making some recommendations to change the school district.
Superintendent Dan Speicher will recommend School City of Mishawaka create smaller learning communities for ninth graders, build a second middle school and add a pre-K classroom at LaSalle Elementary.
He's also recommending the school design a "Grade 13" -- a real-world career readiness program for recent graduates.
Tonight's school board meeting begins at 7 at the administrative center.
