New developments in plan to place South Shore station in downtown South Bend
SOUTH BEND —
There are new developments in the plan to place a South Shore station in downtown South Bend.
This past week an engineering study was completed to identify the potential costs for the project.
The study anticipates the cost to be $180,900.
This is all part of the plan laid out by Mayor Pete Buttigieg in August to bring the South Shore Line downtown by 2025.
Monday, South Bend's Mayor Pete Buttigieg said this project will be in his top priorities for 2019. He estimates it to be a seven-year project.
