News Alert: Three teens found dead, carbon monoxide poisoning suspected

After answering a call on Sunday, an Indiana State Trooper found the three unconscious teens near the 10000 block of West 900 North near Etna Green.

The teens were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified them as Robert Bontrager 18, of Rome City, Ind. in the driver’s seat. Karen Miller, 16 of Topeka, Ind. and Nathan Yoder, 16, of Topeka, Ind. were both in the back seat.

The Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office oversaw autopsies today that were performed in Ft. Wayne.

Preliminary indicators point towards carbon monoxide poisoning, but toxicology results are pending.
