A Notre Dame football player has entered a guilty plea in court.

Te'Von Coney was in Fulton County court Tuesday.

The highly touted linebacker entered the plea on a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge and was sentenced to one year on probation.

This goes back to an arrest in Fulton County in 2016 with four other then Notre Dame football players.

The four others arrested either entered guilty pleas or were found guilty.

An Indiana State Trooper pulled them over and found marijuana and a gun in the car.

It's expected this guilty plea means Coney will remain in school and on the team for the coming season.
