Theater of War echoed around the University of Notre Dame tonight, with a timeless of message of suffering caused by war.
The event was a part of the Notre Dame's Forum on War and Peace, partnering with the Theater of War Productions.
Three professional actors, Anthony Edwards, Keith David, and Tate Donovan were joined by seven Notre Dame exchange students from Ukraine.
They performed readings from the ancient Greek play "The Suppliants" --- amplifying and humanizing the lives that have been touched by war.
“Well, this was a grave mistake now that you see the Argive army standing here before you, I am sure that you understand the error of your thinking.”
Following the reading, community members who experienced international violence shared their experiences, hoping to encourage a better understanding of the production's themes and relevance to the current world.
