Owner of former Bleachers Bar working to development new downtown bar
The owner of the former Bleachers Bar in Mishawaka is now working on developing a new downtown bar to serve an entirely different clientele.
That's according to our reporting partner's at the South Bend Tribune.
This comes after Bleachers closed down after a murder last fall and dozens of other calls for police.
The owner says he is still checking on a liquor license.
But says he hopes to open Hop Station at Union Street which had been Coogars Lounge until December. It will serve craft beer, craft cocktails and some food.
There will be no pool tables or jukeboxes and smoking will not be allowed.
