Payless ShoeSource closing all stores, beginning going-out-of-business sales

    If you need a new pair of shoes, now is the time to get them.

    Payless ShoeSource announced its closing all 2,700 of its stores nationwide.

    The company plans to file for bankruptcy this month for the second time in two years.

    Payless is now beginning going-out-of-business sales and winding down its e-commerce operations.

    All stores are expected to remain open until the end of next month with some staying open until May.

    There are currently eight Payless locations in the Michiana area: two in Mishawaka and one in Dowagiac, Elkhart, Goshen, LaPorte, Niles and Plymouth.
