Victim of hit and run on Bendix identified

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WSBT) — The victim of an apparent hit and run on Bendix Drive has been identified.

On Thursday, just after 10:30 a.m., a deceased female was found along the east side of the 2600 block of Bendix Dr.

Police say it was “apparent that she had been struck by a vehicle that had left the scene.”

The woman has been identified as Sandra Murray, 69.

An autopsy will be conducted Saturday morning.

The crash remains under investigation by the St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team (FACT).
