Police: Shots fired into South Bend home where children were sleeping


South Bend police say six shots were fired into the front door and window of a home overnight -- A home that had people sleeping inside, including a 2-year-old and 14-year-old.

Police say some of the bullets did end up in a room where people were sleeping in the home, which is in the 200 block of E. Fox Street. No one was injured.

The shooting happened around 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Crime scene investigators have collected shell casings and are going over evidence. At this time there is no description of the suspect or suspects.
