Ribbon-cutting held for Plymouth Road dedicated to former mayor

An important ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Tuesday for a road in Plymouth.

Jack Greenlee Drive is serving the new Plymouth Sub District facility. The road is dedicated in honor of former Mayor Jack Greenlee.

Greenlee served as a city councilman for many years and as Mayor of Plymouth from 1992 through 1999.

Current Mayor Mark Senter says Greenlee would never imagine a road being named in his honor.

"He would probably not like it very much. I can hear him belly laughing about it though, but he was a good man and a good leader of our community,” said Senter.

Mayor Greenlee passed away two years ago.
