It’s a unique holiday show like no other.

The Shipshewana Winter Wonderland Variety Show kicks off a two-day run Thursday. It involves two-legged and four-legged performers in a fast-moving show.

Organizers say the Shipshewana Winterland Variety Show will help usher in the holiday season.

A lot of different performers make it happen. Each have their own entertainment specialty.

“I feel like that's what makes this show so special is the fact that we combine so many elements in one particular show,” said Hugh Warren, show producer.

It's being held at the new Michiana Event Center in Shipshewana in an arena that seats 3,600.

“You may go to a show and you may see a horse show,” said Warren. “You may see a musical variety or you may go to see acrobats. We've got all those things. We have some world class singers and dancers here we also have aerialists from a circus background.”

Bailey Humble’s act really takes off.

“I love being here,” said Humble. “You have no idea. This is my third show here in the Michiana Event Center and what really makes this great is show is different from your traditional Christmas shows is we have added so many more elements. It’s so amazing, it really is.”

It will have a live nativity scene with real animals, which include Leroy, a seven-foot camel who is hard to miss.

Organizers say the show is meant to get people into the Christmas spirit. There are so many different levels of entertainment on the ground and in the air. Their aim though is to remind people of the true meaning of Christmas.

“This is a family show and we produce family entertainment,” said Warren. “So I feel to produce the show that recognizes the true meaning of the season and the real reason for Christmas, and a show that just incorporates all kind of fun as well.”

Organizers are also holding a food drive. When you buy a ticket at the Event Center and bring along a can of food or a non-perishable item, you'll get $10 off your ticket.
