The South Bend Common Council is taking a stand to support voting rights.

The Council passed a resolution Monday night condemning actions by state or federal lawmakers that have the intent, effect, or appearance of suppressing voting rights.

It cites recently passed and proposed voting laws, including the new Georgia voting law approved last month.
