South Bend police investigate two separate shootings
SOUTH BEND —
Police are investigating two separate shootings that happened this weekend in South Bend.
The first happened Saturday around 6 p.m.
Police went to the 300 block of North Lafayette on a report of shots fired.
Police say a 21-year-old man walked into a hospital with an apparent non life-threatening wound.
Two male suspects were in an altercation before shots were fired, according to officials.
The second incident happened Sunday around 2:30 a.m.
Police went to the 2100 block of West Western on a ShotSpotter Alert.
Officials say a 37-year-old man walked into a hospital with an apparent non life-threatening wound.
The victim might have been in an altercation before getting shot, according to police.
