Salvation Army needs your help to make Christmas a little brighter for those in need
You can help the Salvation Army make Christmas a little brighter for local families.
The Angel Tree is up in the University Park Mall in Mishawaka. It's filled with names and needs of children in our area.
People are asked to take an angel, buy the gifts and return the unwrapped gifts to a Salvation Army volunteer.
WSBT 22's Dayne Marae and Todd Connor will be at the mall Saturday morning to kick off the Angel Tree program.
You can also Adopt a Family by contacting your Salvation Army. That program allows you buy each member of the family a gift and other needed necessities.

The snow is falling, holidays are approaching and now Santa is coming to town!
Santa will be making his first appearance of the season Saturday at the mall.
It's all part of the St. Joseph County Salvation Army's annual kickoff to its holiday red kettle campaign.
Soon the little red kettles and bell ringers will be outside businesses trying to raise money for the holidays. The money funds programs and assistance for local families in need.
Saturday’s kickoff event starts at 11 with Santa arriving at noon.
