Superintendent: Hamilton Traditional School students could move to Marshall Intermediate
SOUTH BEND —
Parents who have kids going to Hamilton Traditional School could see them switching to a new school.
Superintendent Kenneth Spells spoke to parents about the possibility of students being moved to Marshall Intermediate Center.
Spells brought up the possible change in a meeting Thursday night.
He says the idea was recommended by administrators during their Focus 2018 plans.
Spells also brought up the possibility of turning Marshall into a traditional K through eight school.
No decision has been made, but he first wants to hear from parents.
“I want to make sure the parents have the voice and make sure we are listening to the parents and listening to our stakeholders. Making sure they are not caught off guard,” said Spells.
Spells says a decision would need to be made by November if they want it to be ready by the next school year.
