Three juveniles were hit by a car and received minor injuries in Niles Thursday, according to police.

This was at North 13th Street and Sycamore Street.

Police were called to a crash just before 3 p.m. that involved a 40-year-old driver and four juvenile pedestrians.

The Niles Police Department says three of the pedestrians appeared to be hit by the car and were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Based on information from the driver and witnesses, police say the car was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection. When the car began driving, the four pedestrians walked into the road. The car hit three of the pedestrians.

"There were several witnesses to this crash," according to a news release from the Niles Police Department.

Nile police say based on witness and driver testimony, "The four juveniles were walking westbound on the sidewalk of Sycamore St. As the vehicle began driving north from the stop sign the juveniles stepped off the curb and into the roadway. The vehicle then struck three of the four juveniles."
