UPDATE: Goshen Police Department names officer involved in chase and shooting

The Goshen Police Department has released the name of the officer involved in a shooting that left one suspect with non life-threatening injuries.

Lieutenant Michael McCormack is on paid administrative leave, according to police.

According to Goshen police, an officer tried to make a traffic stop in the area of Lincolnway East.

Joshua Perry, 34, refused to stop and led police on an almost 40-minute chase that ended at 3rd and Washington in Goshen.

At some point after the pursuit ended, the officer fired his weapon, injuring Perry. Perry was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
