UPDATE: Man injured in fire at South Bend auto body repair shop

A person was burned at an auto body repair shop fire in South Bend Friday afternoon.

Crews responded to the 1600 block of Olive Street.

The South Bend Fire Department reports the employee was working underneath a car inside the shop when the car somehow ignited.

The man was transported to a burn center in Fort Wayne. His condition is unknown.

he fire was confined to the vehicle which caught fire, plus the rear of the garage, and was quickly put out.
