U.S. Department of Transportation awards Indiana $40 million to expand I-65

WSBT 22

The U.S. Department of Transportation is awarding Indiana $40 million to expand I-65.

INDOT will use the money to add lanes and proper shoulders just outside of Indianapolis.

They hope it will help ease traffic congestion and allow commercial goods to travel faster.

The money will also go toward repairing bridges and ramps as far north as Lafayette.
