Notre Dame hockey's trip outside at Notre Dame Stadium was spoiled by Big Ten Hockey foe Michigan on Saturday as the Wolverines downed the Fighting Irish 4-2.

It was the first outdoor hockey game hosted by Notre Dame since 1927 and was the third outdoor contest that the Irish have played in during the modern era.

WSBT 22 Sports Director Pete Byrne covered the regular season loss, you can see his story above.

Notre Dame returns to action on Friday, January 11 against Minnesota at Compton Family Ice Arena.
