A torn ACL ended junior All-American Brianna Turner's season early, when she went down in the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament.

The recovery could cost her even more time.

"She could miss the year," head coach Muffet McGraw said when pressed on Turner's time table for return from a torn ACL.

It's certainly not a definite prognosis, but perhaps something the Irish are bracing themselves for should the recovery take more time than expected.

Sitting the all-american for an entire year is something McGraw and Turner won't evaluate until after her surgery, set for April 12th, as they monitor her recovery.

"We'll wait and see in the fall what that look like," McGraw says.

But in McGraw's opinion, Turner is too talented to waste half a year on the bench getting healthy.

"We're gonna look and wait til after surgery and decide what we want to do," McGraw says.

"I want her to be 100%. I don't want her to just be cleared to play because she's too good of a player to just go half a year."
