Notre Dame hoops misses out on NCAA tournament bid

The field of 68 revealed that the Irish were passed over for one of the final at-large bids in the NCAA Tournament this March.

Notre Dame finished the year at 19-14, and went 1-7 against ranked teams.

Last 4 in were UCLA, St. Bonaventure, Arizona State, and Syracuse.

First 4 out were Baylor, Notre Dame, Saint Mary's, and USC.

On Sunday night Notre Dame was selected as a #1 seed in the NIT for postseason play.

They will host Hampton at 9 p.m. Tuesday in the first round. The game will be on ESPN.


East Region: No.2 Purdue will play No. 15 Cal State Fullerton on Friday, March 16 in Detroit, Michigan.

West Region: No. 3 Michigan will play No. 14 Montana on Thursday, March 15 in Wichita, Kansas.

Midwest Region: No. 3 Michigan State will play No. 14 Bucknell on Friday, March 16 in Detroit, Michigan.
