NOTRE DAME — Notre Dame may be a perfect 9-0 on the season, but in Brian Kelly's mind, his team can still find ways to improve.
Such as finding a sense of urgency early in the game and for the entire game. Especially after the Fighting Irish were a little slow to get going last Saturday against Northwestern.
Kelly knows if his team wants to continue their march to the College Football playoff that they'll need to have that fire earlier in the coming games.
"It seems like when this team is pushed, they really play well. So now its my job to get them to play with that sense of urgency for 72 plays, if that's the average number of plays in a game. Not that we don't play with a sense of urgency at a level that is so far below that, but we can play better in spurts and I think we've got to get to that in our preparation," said Kelly.
