Arike Ogunbowale was named the ACC's Female Athlete of the Year!

Sure, she scored 20 or more in 25 games! But it's Arike's two buzzer-beating game-winning shots – first against UConn in the Final Four and then two nights later in the national championship – that not only define her year, but the entire season of women's basketball.

Those shots also vaulted Arike to super-stardom, complete with appearances on Dancing with the Stars, and on the Ellen Show.

In one weekend, Arike Oguunbowale became the face of women's basketball.

Her coach, Muffet McGraw, says she's handling her new-found fame wonderfully.

"She has dealt with this celebrity status really well,” says McGraw. “She stayed grounded. She's loved everything she's done: Meeting Kobe, being on the Ellen Show, Dancing with the Stars, everything's been really exciting for her. But she was happy to get back in the gym. I think she was just happy to get back to just being a basketball player that’s working on her game. She went out and trained in California, came back ready to go. She's been great."
