The class 6A Indiana football state championship is up for grabs this weekend, and Penn is hoping they will be the ones to bring the trophy home.

"It's the ultimate goal. It's the step by step. You want to have a winning season, you want to win a Northern Indiana Conference Championship, a sectional, a regional, a semi-state, and ultimately a state championship," Head Coach Cory Yeoman added, "And these guys have crossed everything off their list, it'd be great for all of us to cross the final thing off our list."

Penn has won 5 state titles but haven't captured one since 2000, a drought they'd love to wipe out this weekend.

Senior Jordan Earl said, "I think the coaches and the guys, we're all excited about it, just to finish what we started last year basically at Carmel. It would mean the world to me. I mean since me being here, we haven't won one in however many years it's been. It would just be great to finally win one."

The Kingsmen will face Ben Davis at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday evening.
