The Penn girls soccer team is one win away from consecutive state titles.

The top ranked Kingsmen face Geerin Catholic Friday night in the state finals.

Penn is the defending champ and would complete an amazing run.

"This year has been a challenge. We've been ranked number one in the state and the nation for most of the year so we've been getting everyone's best shot. We're on top and we're trying to stay on top, so we know the challenge that lies ahead of us. We know what to expect and I gotta tell you, we could not be more excited about it,” said Jeff Hart, Penn’s head coach.

"We know what it feels like to lose and we know what it feels like to win and I think all of us on this team are really prepared and we're all really excited,” said Brooke VanDyck, Penn junior Midfielder.

"I think we're confident going in. We definitely don't have as much nerves as we did the first time we did it, so, I think especially the older players are able to comfort the younger players so I think everyone is just really excited,” said Kristina Lynch, Penn senior Forward.
