Notre Dame's path to the ACC title is a little clearer tonight.

The Fighting Irish will begin play tomorrow (Friday) in the ACC quarterfinals.

They'll start their run for a fifth ACC tournament championship in six years against one of the only two teams in the bracket who beat them.

The Irish practiced at the Greensboro Coliseum this morning. Then this afternoon, they learned they will get another shot at North Carolina.

The Tar Heels advanced to the quarterfinals with a come from behind win over Georgia Tech earlier today.

UNC was the first team to hand the Irish a loss in ACC play back in January.

Notre Dame didn't have Jackie Young available on that day – but they will Friday.

They’ve been waiting all week hoping for another crack at the Tar Heels.

"Obviously it'd be great,” said Marina Mabrey. “Losing in that fashion on the road was not fun, so it'd be great to redeem ourselves."

"If we have a chance to play North Carolina it would be good for us to play a team that we did lose to and hopefully have a better outcome this time,” said Jessica Shepard.

"I think it would be good,” coach Muffet McGraw agreed. “I like to play a team that beat us, a chance to get it back, a chance to show the committee that it was a game on their court without Jackie (Young) , here's how we are at full strength."
