Looking ahead with Notre Dame women: Could next season have the making of another?

It was quite the masterpiece Muffet McGraw put together after losing four of her players to ACL tears, plus several other mid-season injuries.

She got the Irish another National Championship and while they are enjoying this incredible feat, for some of the most competitive spirits in college basketball it's not too soon to look ahead to next season.

When all-American center Brianna Turner and top-point guard Lili Thompson return to the floor along with adding an incoming top 10 recruiting class.

This means it looks as if next season's lineup could have the making of another.

“You know there're no guarantees to what's going to happen next year. We know that better than anybody that things can change in the blink of an eye. So, we're going to enjoy this one and see what next year brings,” said McGraw.

“You know I think our team is super determined. Everyone's going to go back this summer, work hard, you know try to fix, tweak things in their game. Just come back ready to try and go get another National Championship,” said Marina Mabrey, junior guard.

"We have a lot of people returning and we have a great freshman class coming in. The summer's going to start. Hard work's going to start. Freshmen are going to come in, everybody's going to be getting close to getting back. We're going to be working hard to win another National Championship,” said Jackie Young, sophomore guard.
