Numerous reports surfaced on Thursday morning saying Notre Dame quarterback Ian Book would be out against Florida State with a rib injury, but Brian Kelly hasn't completely ruled out his QB against the Seminoles.

In a press conference on Thursday night, Kelly said that the junior quarterback is listed as day-to-day with an upper body injury. Kelly also said that Book was at practice but his participation was limited, instead it was junior Brandon Wimbush who got the bulk of the reps at practice with freshman Phil Jurkovec getting some time as well.

Not only would Kelly not rule out Book for Saturday's game, he also said that he would not name a starter, saving it for just before game time.

Book has thrown for 1,824 yards and 15 touchdowns in six games and leads all NCAA FBS quarterbacks in completion percentage, connecting on 152 of his 204 attempts for 74.5%.
