Pigskin Preview: John Adams High School

There's a new regime at South Bend Adams this fall.

Coach Antwon Jones takes over the Eagles football program after spending the past few years at Niles.

But he's no stranger to the Northern Indiana Conference.

Jones coached four years at South Bend Washington leading them to the 4A state title game in 2011.

Jones is known for his fast-paced spread it out offense.

His players are excited about running it.

"Having a fast-paced offense is really exciting," says senior center Nick LaFountain. "It's gonna keep the momentum on our side and keep the energy going."

"They want something where they felt that they could open some things up and show their athleticism and show that there's a bunch of playmakers on the team., Jones says.

"Our big focus was getting the kids to understand that we're going to spread the ball around, and a lot of people will have touches. Not just a few. We're gonna run. We're gonna pass, and we're gonna have fun."

Adams begins the season August 19th at Northridge.
